For the average marketeer to make the most of the internet these days you must understand the tools of the trade or applications that make marketing online manageable. Independent programmers and companies are creating some really cool and helpful tools that can help you take your marketing to the next level. Many are affordable or free, easy to use, and plugin to the websites we already own.
Here are several that I use, and I am asking for you to add to the list if you have a application you recommend.
Wufoo – Helps you build online forms and information collection points. You can use this for online camp registrations.
Just Host – The company I currently use for hosting
HostGator – I recommend Host Gator Click Here, or the host recommended by WordPress.
Elegant Themes – The company I currently use for my theme creation, however I also work with programers on more custom themes, and use standard free wordpress thems
WooThemes – I have not used WooThemes yet, but they are good stuff. Gives you a similar option to Elegant Themes but more to choose from.
WordPress – This is what I use as a content management system to manage my website information. It is great and free.
Mail Chimp – A company that helps you send emails to lots of people and receive information on who opened what, where, and when.
Pixlr – This looks to be a really sharp online photo editing program
Color Scheme Designer – A great tool for developing a color scheme
DropBox – Really easy to use storage system
Google Drive – Almost just like DropBox this is a great service for storing your files on the cloud.
Lightroom – Lightroom is a fantastic photo editing softward for Mac or PC. I use it all the time!
